Bus ruins Weather Channel's footage of Georgia Dome implosion·Entertainment Weekly

Cue the Curb Your Enthusiasm music.

The Weather Channel was all set to provide those unable to witness the implosion of the Georgia Dome in person with footage of the event on Monday. Unfortunately for the cameraman, a MARTA bus drove into the picture at the worst possible time, essentially blocking the entire frame at the exact moment of the action. “The most Atlanta thing to ever happen? MARTA bus parks right in front of The Weather Channel’s Dome implosion shot,” tweeted the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, along with a clip of the incident.

Though the moment was evidently quite frustrating for the cameraman, he had a good sense of humor about the incident afterward. “TFW you stream the #GAdome being demolished for 40 minutes and a bus stops in front of the camera at the exact moment it implodes,” tweeted James Crugnale, adding a laughing emoji.

Afterward, MARTA’s Chief Marketing and Communications Officer Goldie Taylor told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that “given the potential dangers of bringing down the largest structure of its kind… If this is the biggest story, we’re really glad about that.” She also proceeded to “sincerely apologize” in the tweet below.

Check out the footage above for the hilariously unfortunate timing for The Weather Channel’s camera crew.
