Watch: Gum-chomping Russell Wilson channels Pete Carroll for Halloween
For some, Halloween means a chance to indulge their inner child, or live out a superhero fantasy, or go dark and moody.
For Russell Wilson, Halloween this year meant a chance to poke a little good-natured fun at his head coach.
Wilson, the sixth-year Seattle Seahawks quarterback, donned a gray wig, headset, and whistle and stuffed his cheeks with copious amounts of chewing gum as he dressed up as Pete Carroll for a visit to Seattle Children’s Hospital, where he is a regular visitor.

Wilson called himself the “young, charming, darker skinned, gum chewing” Pete Carroll.
The veteran, who was just named NFC Offensive Player of the Week after his 452-yard, 4-touchdown performance in Seattle’s win over Houston, stayed in character as he drew up plays on a whiteboard and waved to fans on the city streets:

Carroll’s gum of choice is original Bubble Yum; no word on whether Wilson made sure that’s what he was chomping.
