UAW International President Shawn Fain announced Friday an expansion of the union's strike against Detroit Three automakers.
As of noon Friday, the UAW will strike all parts distribution facilities at General Motors and Stellantis. It includes 38 locations across 20 states.
Fain also said some "real progress" has been made with Ford and the automaker "is showing they're serious about reaching a deal."

Strikes started last Thursday at 11:59 p.m. During the first week, UAW members struck three facilities: Ford Michigan Assembly Plant (Final Assembly and Paint only) in Wayne, Stellantis Toledo Assembly Complex in Ohio and General Motors Wentzville Assembly in Missouri.
Fain is expected to announce new targets where strikes will occur, absent tentative labor agreements with the automakers, starting at noon Friday.
