The Tesla Model 3 Performance and its Track Mode have already been proven around these parts to be an exceptionally good time. Perhaps nobody can make a better point about this than Alex Brown, an owner who used the mode's rear-biased drift setting to demolish a set of tires in record time.

Brown tells Road & Track that he has been a drifter for eight years, with most of that time coming behind the wheel of a Nissan 240SX.. He was immediately impressed by the car's performance, thanks in no small part to the high horsepower, almost double that of the 240SX. The regenerative braking creates what he describes as a "One pedal drifting experience," offering the driver an impressive amount of control.

Brown already lists the Tesla as the favorite of the cars he has owned, beating out a Porsche 718 Cayman, a Ford F-150 Raptor, and, most impressively, a Kei truck he uses to support the Nissan drift car. Both the matching green wheels on his lineup of cars and their burnt tires are sourced through his company, Extreme Wheels.
