Watch: The Titans 'remember', re-enact dance from movie after shutting out Giants

Ever since the NFL loosened celebration rules for touchdowns and other big plays, choreographed dances have become all the rage.

And maybe the most obvious one of all finally happened on Sunday.

‘We are the Titans’

With 1:51 to play in a rain-soaked game at MetLife Stadium, New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning attempted a fourth-down pass for Evan Engram in the end zone that was broken up by safety Kevin Byard. With the Giants out of timeouts, it meant the Titans had sealed a 17-0 shutout.

Within moments, Byard and a half-dozen teammates gathered together and started dancing, bending at the waist and rolling their arms, then standing tall and putting their arms skyward as they advanced toward midfield.

If it looked familiar, it should: It’s an imitation of one of the best moments in the popular movie, “Remember the Titans.”

You win the week in NFL dancing, Titans.

First shutout since 2000

It’s the first time since Christmas 2000 that Tennessee shut out an opponent; 18 years ago, it happened against the Dallas Cowboys. Or as Titans coach Mike Vrabel noted, since he was riding the bench as a player with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Giants had 10 possessions and punted on six of them; the others ended with halftime, an interception, fumble and the game-ending turnover on downs. The only time they got into the red zone was on that final drive.
