WAUWATOSA, Wis. (AP) _ Waterstone Financial Inc. (WSBF) on Tuesday reported first-quarter profit of $6.5 million.

On a per-share basis, the Wauwatosa, Wisconsin-based company said it had net income of 24 cents.

The bank holding company posted revenue of $43.4 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $37.2 million.

Waterstone shares have fallen 3.5 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $16.17, a drop of nearly 8 percent in the last 12 months.
