Wayne Irving II named finalist in 2013 CTIA B!G Idea Awards
Monster Offers™ CEO recognized as mobile champion and visionary
San Clemente, CA - Monster Offers™ (OTCQB: MONT), a leading only discount sales analytics provider & aggregator and "forward-thinker" in the field of mobile marketing, mobile advertising, and consulting, is very pleased to announce that its CEO, Wayne Irving II, has been named a finalist for the 2013 CTIA B!G Idea Award.
This year’s contest honors the champions and visionaries who are transforming the mobile ecosystem, and Irving has been named a finalist in the category of “The Mobile Visionary.” The category winners will be announced at CTIA 2013™, taking place May 21-23, 2012 at the Sands Expo & Convention Center in Las Vegas.
Wayne Irving II, CEO of Monster Offers™, has had a colorful, successful, and highly visible career as an entrepreneur, serving as CEO of SpinRecords.com from 1998-2000, and as CEO of SaveAmericaMoney.com from 2001-2003. No stranger to accolades, Mr. Irving was nominated for the 2000 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year honor, made the Entrepreneur Magazine 2000 E-List, and was recently chosen as a recipient of the 2011 OC Metro Hot 25 Business Leaders award. For his work with Text Kills®, a donation-funded community outreach organization that raises awareness about the dangers of texting while driving, he was nominated as Orange County's Kindest Business Owner in 2012. In addition to naming Irving a finalist for their Mobile Visionary Award, CTIA has also asked him to speak at their 2013 App Summit on the topic of “Apps for a Global Good.” Irving's accomplishments have been featured in publications and television programming including The LA Journal, LA Times, OC Register, OC Metro, The Sun, NY Times, USA Today, Wall Street Journal, Smart Money Magazine, Hospital News, Good Morning America, Saturday Night Live, The Today Show and many others.
The nomination also underlies Mr. Irving’s commitment to making a difference as it relates to saving lives through technological contributions, particularly in thwarting distracted driving. A father of four, Irving has a personal mission to educate teen drivers through his outreach program Text Kills® (textkills.com). Text Kills® has been applauded by both the press and federal government for its efforts, and Irving was invited to Washington DC last month to present Smartphone technologies that he has invented at the FCC’s Distracted Driving Technology Conference. Prior to that Irving was invited to the 2010 USDOT Distracted Driving Summit. Text Kills® has made 2 cross-country educational tours and is currently the safety partner to Sempra Energy.
“I am honored beyond words to be a finalist for this prestigious award,” commented Irving. “When I got into this industry, I certainly didn’t consider myself a mobile visionary. I was just a guy who believed that mobile technology could be used to improve people’s quality of life and help keep them safe. But I suppose that was a kind of vision: the vision of a world that had been made better, not worse, by these powerful technologies. I still believe in this basic premise, and I still see the world becoming a better place through the proper implementation of mobile technologies.”
Members of the wireless industry voted online for their favorite B!G Idea contenders based on their roles and accomplishments in transforming the mobile ecosystem. CTIA will officially crown the B!G Idea Winner on Tuesday, May 21 at 2 p.m. PDT at CTIA 2013 on the Show Floor Exhibit Innovations Stage, Booth 5646.
