The New York-based company said it had profit of $1 per share.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of eight analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 99 cents per share.
The weight-loss program operator posted revenue of $365.8 million in the period, which missed Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $379.7 million.
Weight Watchers expects full-year earnings in the range of $3.15 to $3.25 per share.
Weight Watchers shares have risen 55 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $68.49, a rise of 52 percent in the last 12 months.
