Wells Fargo (WFC) closed the most recent trading day at $45.12, moving +0.67% from the previous trading session. The stock outpaced the S&P 500's daily gain of 0.31%. Meanwhile, the Dow gained 0.05%, and the Nasdaq, a tech-heavy index, added 0.14%.

Coming into today, shares of the biggest U.S. mortgage lender had gained 0.61% in the past month. In that same time, the Finance sector lost 0.4%, while the S&P 500 lost 1.38%.
