WHEELING, W.Va. (AP) _ WesBanco Inc. (WSBC) on Wednesday reported third-quarter net income of $26.4 million.
The Wheeling, West Virginia-based bank said it had earnings of 60 cents per share.
The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 64 cents per share.
The holding company for WesBanco Bank posted revenue of $106.4 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $95.2 million, which also missed Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $98.4 million.
WesBanco shares have dropped 2.5 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $41.98, a rise of 27 percent in the last 12 months.
