NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (AP) _ William Lyon Homes (WLH) on Thursday reported first-quarter earnings of $8.1 million.

On a per-share basis, the Newport Beach, California-based company said it had profit of 21 cents.

The homebuilder posted revenue of $455.9 million in the period.

William Lyon shares have risen 61% since the beginning of the year. The stock has fallen 37% in the last 12 months.
