Williams & Lake, LLC Files Complaint Against Genesis Systems, LLC, George Jameson and Randy Burchett to Protect their Intellectual Property Rights

CHANDLER, Ariz., April 5, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- As part of its continuing efforts to protect its proprietary and intellectual property rights, Williams & Lake, LLC filed a complaint on March 14, 2017 in the United States District Court for the District of Arizona against Genesis Systems, LLC, George Jameson and Randy Burchett.  The lawsuit seeks relief and protection based upon the following claims:

  1. Declaratory judgment seeking invalidity of US Patent 9,238,432 B1 (referred to as Sure Stop Technology);
  2. Unfair competition in violation of the Lanham Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1051 et seq., false advertising under section 43(a) of the Lanham Act, 15 U.S.C.  § 1125(a);
  3. Violation of Arizona Uniform Trade Secrets Act, §44-401 et. seq.;
  4. Breach of duty of loyalty and fiduciary duty;
  5. Breach of contract;
  6. Unfair competition under state law; and 
  7. Intentional interference with prospective economic advantage
