The San Francisco-based company said it had profit of $1.93 per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs and asset impairment costs, were $2.10 per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of nine analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.97 per share.
The seller of cookware and home furnishings posted revenue of $1.84 billion in the period, also topping Street forecasts. Nine analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.8 billion.
For the year, the company reported profit of $333.7 million, or $4.05 per share. Revenue was reported as $5.67 billion.
Williams-Sonoma expects full-year earnings in the range of $4.50 to $4.70 per share, with revenue in the range of $5.67 billion to $5.84 billion.
Williams-Sonoma shares have increased 13 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $56.88, an increase of nearly 7 percent in the last 12 months.
