DALLAS (AP) _ Wingstop Inc. (WING) on Thursday reported fourth-quarter net income of $4.3 million.
The Dallas-based company said it had profit of 15 cents per share.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 14 cents per share.
The restaurant chain posted revenue of $24.8 million in the period, which did not meet Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $25 million.
For the year, the company reported profit of $15.4 million, or 53 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $91.4 million.
Wingstop shares have dropped almost 10 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $26.65, a rise of 6 percent in the last 12 months.
