LONDON, Oct 20 (Reuters) - The head of Hungarian budget airline Wizz Air said on Tuesday it would further reduce unit costs compared to the rest of the airline industry thanks to regular deliveries of new Airbus aircraft despite the COVID-19 pandemic.

Speaking at an event hosted by the UK Aviation Club, Jozsef Varadi also bemoaned a lack of political coordination over measures to tackle the crisis and predicted greater state involvement in the sector after a series of public bailouts. (Reporting by Tim Hepher; editing by Jason Neely)
