NEW YORK (AP) _ WW International, Inc. (WW) on Tuesday reported third-quarter net income of $47.1 million.
The New York-based company said it had net income of 68 cents per share.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 67 cents per share.
The weight-loss program operator posted revenue of $348.6 million in the period, falling short of Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $356.6 million.
WW International expects full-year earnings to be $1.63 to $1.75 per share, with revenue expected to be $1.4 billion.
WW International shares have dropped roughly 3% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $37.51, a decline of 27% in the last 12 months.
