PARSIPPANY, N.J. (AP) _ Wyndham Hotels & Resorts Inc. (WH) on Tuesday reported first-quarter net income of $21 million.
On a per-share basis, the Parsippany, New Jersey-based company said it had net income of 22 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 52 cents per share.
The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 46 cents per share.
The hotel and resort chain posted revenue of $468 million in the period, also topping Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $446.7 million.
Wyndham expects full-year earnings in the range of $3.07 to $3.19 per share, with revenue in the range of $2.11 billion to $2.16 billion.
Wyndham shares have increased 22% since the beginning of the year.
