On a per-share basis, the Burnaby, British Columbia-based company said it had a loss of 42 cents.
Xenon Pharmaceuticals shares have increased 51% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $9.50, a rise of 60% in the last 12 months.
