SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) _ Xperi Corp. (XPER) on Wednesday reported a first-quarter loss of $11 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.
The San Jose, California-based company said it had a loss of 22 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 7 cents per share.
The provider of chip technology for small electronic devices posted revenue of $67.3 million in the period.
For the current quarter ending in July, Xperi expects its per-share earnings to range from 25 cents to 32 cents.
The company said it expects revenue in the range of $88 million to $92 million for the fiscal second quarter.
Xperi expects full-year revenue in the range of $370 million to $445 million.
Xperi shares have declined 26 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $32.65, a rise of slightly more than 5 percent in the last 12 months.
