Yahoo plans to add 100 more customer service, IT jobs to its Nebraska service center

LA VISTA, Neb. (AP) -- Yahoo Inc. plans to expand its service center in Nebraska and add about 100 new jobs.

The Sunnyvale, Calif., based Internet company announced the expansion on Thursday. The new jobs will be a mix of customer service and logistics positions.

Yahoo's Chief Marketing Officer Kathy Savitt says the company has been impressed with the workers in Nebraska since it opened its service center about three years ago.

Gov. Dave Heineman praised Yahoo's announcement. He says the state is trying to create an environment that will encourage businesses to invest in Nebraska.
