YRC: 4Q Earnings Snapshot

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (AP) _ YRC Worldwide Inc. (YRCW) on Thursday reported a loss of $18.7 million in its fourth quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Overland Park, Kansas-based company said it had a loss of 37 cents.

The trucking company posted revenue of $1.16 billion in the period.

For the year, the company reported that its loss narrowed to $53.5 million, or $1.28 per share. Revenue was reported as $4.51 billion.

YRC shares have climbed 40% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $6.20, more than doubling in the last 12 months.
