Misfit Wearables, together with Philippine retail partner Power Mac Center, recently unveiled the Shine, a fitness tracker that monitors your daily physical activity and logs the quality of your sleep—all while looking stylish in a little package. It is priced at P6,850 and in stores now in champagne, gray, and topaz color options.
Unlike many fitness trackers on the market, the Misfit Shine doubles as a watch, relying on 12 LEDs located on the face to indicate the hour and another blinking one for minutes. Even its battery is the same one found in timepieces: a CR2032 button-cell lithium cell housed around the back. Misfit Wearables claims the battery can last up to six months.
The sensor itself is made of anodized aircraft-grade aluminum and can be worn on your wrist or as a clip-on tracker using the included rubber wristband mount and magnetic clip. And you can take the Shine anywhere, even to the swimming pool, as it is waterproof up to 50 meters.
The Misfit Shine is compatible with iOS and Android devices running iOS 6.1.3 and Android Jelly Bean 4.3, respectively. Additionally, Bluetooth 4.0 is a must. Prior to its retail debut the Misfit Shine was bundled with Smart Communications' Infinity plans starting at P3,500 per month. Click through the gallery to see the device up close.
