New York City FIRST Robotics Competition
More the 1000 high school students around the world participated in the 13th Annual FIRST Robotics Competition at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City. Over 60 teams competed in a game called Ultimate Ascent, a version of Frisbee played by two opposing teams. Each team consists of three robots, and the objective is to get as many discs into the goals as possible in each match, lasting two minutes and 15 seconds.
