Jon Hamm

Jon Hamm — best known for playing anti-hero Don Draper on Mad Men — is quite the opposite in real life, having once helped his 90-year-old L.A. neighbor at a critical time. “One weekend I heard this ruckus next door and I looked over this wall, and he had fallen off of the ladder and threw his head onto the driveway and was bleeding all the way down the driveway,” he told The Hollywood Reporter in October 2016. “I just [jumped] over the thing and I’m thinking, ‘Cub Scouts, what do you do?’ I got him untangled from the ladder and all of the tree branches off of him, and I undid his collar and I put some stuff on his head to put pressure on it,” he said. Thanks to Hamm, an ambulance eventually came and the neighbor was just fine. (Photo: John Shearer/Getty Images)
