    Unless you had dividend reinvestment
and then you got paid in stock.

I had dividend reinvestment’s in my Wells Fargo brokerage I got paid in stock.

In my Charles Schwab acct it wouldn’t allow dividend reinvestment so I got paid in cash
I believe the surviving company SKM also has the metaverse franchise in the AI franchise as well as the telecom 5G business

The newly spun off company S K Square was paid to us in the form of a special dividend

This is a brief about split of SK Telecom.
I used google translator because of my poor English writing skill.

The existing SK Telecom was split into SK Telecom, a surviving corporation that will run the MNO business, and SK Square, a new corporation to control SK Hynix, a memory semiconductor company. SK Telecom, the surviving corporation, focuses only on telecommunication businesses such as MNO business, and the new corporation, SK Square, aims to engage in various investment activities based on its stake in SK hynix. For this split, SK Telecom's stock trading was suspended for the past month on the Korea Exchange, where SK Telecom was listed. The split between SK Telecom and SK Square is approximately 6:4. The stocks of the two companies that were split were listed on the Korea Exchange on November 29th, Korean time.
The existing ADR of SK Telecom was 9 ADRs equal to 1 share. On the other hand, looking at SK Telecom's ADR price now, the price of 1 SK Telecom ADR seems to be the same as 1 share of SK Telecom stock. I'm not sure how to deal with the SK Square stock that was created during the spin-off. SK Square may also be listed on the NYSE with ADR, but I think it is highly likely to be given in cash (my guess).
As of November 30, the combined market caps of SK Telecom and SK Square have decreased compared to before the spin-off. In particular, concerns are growing in the market that SK Telecom's future payout ratio will decrease. SK Telecom has shown a very high level of dividend payout ratio, but market participants are responding that it is difficult to maintain such a dividend payout ratio since SK Hynix and other subsidiaries have been transferred to SK Square. However, there are opinions that the current share price of SK Telecom is low considering that SK Telecom's management has clearly promised its dividend payout ratio for the next several years.
That's why I own KT's stock, but I think SK Telecom is also an attractive company. In particular, SK Telecom occupies nearly 50% of Korea's mobile telecom market, and SK Telecom's 5G and LTE network speeds are the fastest. In particular, in the case of 5G, the download speed easily exceeds 1000Mbps, even though only the 3.5GHz band is serviced. Also, SK Telecom has the best financial structure among telco in the world, with a debt-to-equity ratio that does not exceed 100% and uses very little borrowings. Anyway, I would like to inform you that the current price of SK Telecom has decreased compared to before the split. I wish for your successful investment.

I'm a little confused about the spinoff of all businesses except the telecom business. Was this spin to all shareholders or was it only a separate company created within the SK Telecom business. Appreciate your info on this. Thanks

This company is a player in S. Korea, with multiple revenue sources, not just mobile phones. It has a dividend growth profile that many telecom stocks can't offer. Stay long...

Their 20% share in Hynix Semi is probably worth almost the total value of the current market cap. Investors in the US are not seeing this undervalued stock, which is more than just a telecom company. Stay long.

This stock appears undervalued; it's a phone company with valuable side businesses, especially Hynix Semi, a big player in computer chips. Easy move into the low 30s is likely coming soon.

People sleeping on this IMO. Transition to an ICT company is going well. Everyone looking for the 5G stocks but neglecting this cause it isn’t in the states. Recommend you read their 2019 annual report and do your DD. This company is impressive, and will only go up.

Why does Yahoo Finance not show 2019's dividend history? I thought this company paid its semi-annual dividends for this year? Can anyone clear this up?
