Posco International Corporation engages in the international trade, project organization, new growth projects, resource development, and steel processing businesses worldwide. The company trades in steel, automobile and components, machinery and industrial electronics, non-ferrous metals, food resources, petrochemicals, commodities, cosmetics, meat, textiles, etc. It is also involved in the exploration, development, production, and sale of gas; development and production of minerals, such as copper, bituminous coal, and nickel; and production and sale of edible oil products from palms. In addition, it engages in the engineering, procurement, and construction of power plants; power generation, transmission, and distribution through coal, gas, cogeneration, hydroelectric, and solar and other renewable energy sources; and construction of oil refinery, chemical engineering, and industrial plant projects, as well as infrastructure plant projects for vessels, harbors, environment, and hospitals. Further, it is involved in the production of automotive components; operation of a hotel; production of cold rolled steel and precision products; processing/distribution and development of new materials; manufacture and sale of automobiles/home appliances/industrial motor cores; shearing/cutting, processing, and sale of grain-oriented electrical steel sheets; manufacture and sale of power trains for electric vehicles; processing of plates, such as pretreatment and cutting for shipbuilding companies, as well as for construction equipment; and provision of manufacturing materials for heavy machineries, steel building materials, and pressure vessels. The company was formerly known as Posco Daewoo Corporation and changed its name to Posco International Corporation in March 2019.
