    Toshiba says not in talks to with any company over PC unit sale

    Toshiba Corp said on Friday it had not entered into talks with any company to sell its personal computer business, denying media reports that it was in negotiations to sell the unit to Taiwan's Asustek Computer Inc. China's Lenovo Group Ltd has also expressed interest in the PC unit, the Nikkei business daily reported. Cash-strapped Toshiba has previously said it is looking to sell the PC business, a small part of the industrial conglomerate, as it races to bolster its balance sheet by the end of March to avoid a possible delisting.

    Asus Seeks to Add Toshiba's De Minimis PC Share, Says Nikkei

    Citing no sources, the Nikkei article, without byline, relates that Toshiba “has entered into negotiations to sell personal computer operations to Asustek Computer." Asus was fourth in worldwide PC sales in the September quarter, ahead of Apple (AAPL), according to preliminary market estimates by Gartner released on October 10th. Asus sold 4.89 million PCs, for 7.3% share.

    Hexagon chief executive Ola Rollen's knowledge that Next Biometrics had signed a major client when he made an investment in the Norwegian company was not material, an Oslo court was told on Monday. Rollen, who denies wrongdoing, is on trial for alleged insider trading related to a 2015 investment in Next Biometrics through Greenbridge, his part-owned investment firm, which is the biggest investor in the company with a 17 percent stake. During his testimony at Oslo's district court, Next Biometrics' former CEO Tore Etholm-Idsoee, who is now its acting chairman, said the essential information about the major client Next Biometrics had won was already known in the stockmarket.
