Can't believe all the airlines and cruiselines are still in such a low price, the Omicron impact is reducing, don't get fooled by the news title, you can clearly tell the agenda behind it, when news is positive, there's always a 'BUT' behind it. EVERYONE need to change their view on Omicron and start accepting this is an endemic instead of pandemic, asking people to drop everything once tested positive, regardless symtomatic or not, is a mistake and just going to cause more disruption to all industries, that's not just airlines and cruiselines problem. Airlines and Cruiselines stock are just too cheap at current price level, people will eventually come to senses.

We will never see any significant price increase as long as people are forced to wear a mask on an airplane. I know many people that will not fly because of the mask wearing. When/if that requirement is gone, start buying travel stocks with both hands.

TSA boardings yesterday were 1,125,952. 👎👎. Lowest number in 9 months. People are definitely cancelling travel plans due to the COVID surge. Oil at $82. 👎👎

For the first time I see TSA Checkpoint travel numbers higher than 2019.
    01/14/22--- 1,728,383 vs 01/14/19--- 1,605,758
We are breaking new grounds! If in doubt check it out for yourself. Bullish!

Wednesdays are Normally Bad for the Airlines, besides King Fish's bashing LUV and Jet Fuel being Up again.
Thursday will be Normally Good, the only unknown is the reaction from Delta's earnings Report.
It ain't easy guessing for the Airlines CEOs this quarter, they should reserve their guidance since it ain't good for them to guess Jet Fuel and Omicrap situation.

Lots of news from New York with the streets full of people and having lots of fun and stating the pandemic has slowed down quite a bit in New York.

American Airlines was mocked by the internet after responding to Twitter user Dana Finley Morrison Saturday who complained about a pilot because he had a “Let’s Go Brandon” sticker on his luggage.

Poor Logan, he has no idea what he is in for marrying this lady

TSA boardings yesterday were 1,231,419. A bit better than yesterday but down 40% from 2019 and 35% from 2020. Omicron is starting to have a very negative affect on travel.

Heard through the grapevine that AAL may have a potential short squeeze brewing.

Despite all the noise regarding pandemic. Let's take a look at reality:
TSA numbers for all the airlines combined:
Number of travelers for 01/02/22---2,023,309 vs 01/22/21 ---1,327,289
These are facts, considering cancellation of flights because of bad weather and pandemic.
Another fact: The situation has improved drastically despite of all the bad news.
Another fact: 36 million shares short.

AAL is the 1st Airlines to guide 4Q20 Revenue Up from -20% to -17% thanks to its less cancellation of flights than its Peers. AAL is projected to LOSE less money than it previous guided, they didn't mention about using NOLs, but Uncle believes it'll be wise that they do just that.
Tracking last 5 quarter's TSA numbers and AAL's revenue, all numbers are compared with 2019 level.
    Quarter TSA Revenue
    3Q20 -71.00% -73.36%
    4Q20 -63.23% -64.4%
    1Q21 -54.78% -62.13%
    2Q21 -33.04% -37.47%
    3Q21 -22.18% -24.70%
    4Q21 -17.61% -17.00%

Again, AAL will beat its Top and Bottom line consensus estimates, period.
This is NOT a suggestion to Buy or Sell AAL stock.
But Uncle says "Place Your Bets!".
and Same Ole Question "Will AAL ever close above $22.50 and When if so?"

All the airlines and cruise lines stock way way undervalued, these will roraing back to pre pandemic level, (which is still far away from current stock price) once people - especially those with power come to realize there's no such thing as eradicate the virus, but towards live with the virus without killing the economy.

Australia’s Daily Cvid-19 Cases Surpass 100,000 for First Time
What the.....fortress Australia is now 49th on the world list (53rd in population) with 877,902 cases
All that isoliation, shaming, locking in, closing borders, libety crushing polocies for a big fat failure. Good show

Even the non-musical WHOa admits we can't fax our way out of this.
Meanwhile angry plager Joe crow and the like want to export their failed strategies to sub-Sahara Africian instead of discovering how they have been successful.

End all testing, fax, and q-tine requirements NOW!

Cameroon has the same population as Australia, but just sits above Chiner in cases, yet the overlords aren't going to let them watch their games

"Cameroon, where less than 3% of the population of 26 million are fully faxed, only a small minority of people are therefore eligible to witness the tournament first-hand. On top of that, crowds will be limited to 60% of a stadium's capacity, or 80% for games involving host nation Cameroon. There's a possibility that many games will be at near-empty stadiums, although that isn't new for the African Cup.

American Airlines Group (AAL) said Wednesday it has racked up estimated net operating loss carryforwards exceeding $16.5 billion and will be adopting a tax benefit preservation plan to protect those losses as tax assets.

The board approved the plan "to protect an important asset of American Airlines (AAL) that may have meaningful value to all American Airlines (AAL) stockholders," the carrier said.

The need for the plan was based on the value of the tax benefits, the potential for diminution upon an ownership change, and the risk of an ownership change occurring, according to a statement. The plan is subject to the approval of the Nasdaq Global Select Market.

As part of the plan, the company also declared a dividend of one preferred stock purchase right for each outstanding common share. The dividend is payable to holders of record as of Jan. 5. The rights are set to expire on Dec 20, 2022, unless shareholders approve the plan before that, in which case the rights will expire on Dec. 20, 2024.

In the day where Omicron news can no longer spread the panic, the media is making flight cancellation a SUPER DUPER headlines, just to once again drag down the entire airlines stock price, nice try. Travel ban has been lifted by US, soon more country will realize putting all sort of travel restriction is just going to cost their own country economy and self-inflicted damage.
