This has 80% insider ownership and 5% institutions. Biggest retirement system ClaPERS is in it as well. Earnings coming mid next week. There is high chance for this to keep going up next week. I decided to stay.

This is huge...will end mid year at 30 easy.

Atlantic American cannot afford Hilton's leadership.
Hilton Howell, Jr. married rich. The primary reason he is President, Chief Executive Officer, and Chairman of the Board is because he married Robin. Robin's Mom, Harriett, owns 75% of AAME. Harriett also owns 100% of the Preferred (it pays a richer dividend than the 1% paid to the commoners).
AAME has a total market value of approx. $40 million, but Junior pays himself more than a million dollars EVERY YEAR. Under Junior's control, AAME has fallen from $5 to $1.81 in four years. AAME would have fallen even more had his mother in-law not supported the share price by buying 20 thousand shares in the open market (Aug. 2019 for $2.50).
In the last four years, AAME's share price has decreased 64%. During this time, Junior paid himself more than $4 million. Junior even pays himself $76,000 every year for being a director of the Company and its subsidiaries.
Atlantic American cannot afford Junior's leadership any longer. Junior needs to find another job. I think cleaning horse stables would be appropriate.

Welp, I bought in towards the eod on Friday, only 1,000 shares at $4.37.
Just gambling on the chance we see a small bounce before this keeps bleeding. Definitely not proud of this trade whatsoever in hindsight. Pray for me Monday morning lol.... will be looking for any and all exit opportunities in the green, big or small.

I bought at $12.85 and I am going to sell now and get the hell out! There is no indication that this stock will ever recover, or at least not any time soon. I think that the target price should be somewhere around $2.50-$3.00 I thought that I was getting "in early" on a good deal.... not so much.

The normalized PE is not 6 when you adjust for non recurring earningsBack in march when I looked non recurring was 59% of earningsThat said I stuck my toe back in for a small position today at $2.51(I lucked out to sell into the Feb pump & dump)My only hope is another smaller pump in the futureI have zero confidence in the company or the insidersI sold as low #$%$45 to as high as 12.99, an average of about $8.90 I think. The CEO got the job because his mother in law owns 74%.I might buy more if it goes below $2 but its a risk that I might end up holding for many years with nothing to show for it except an anemic dividend (under 1%)

Any professionals here? Please comfort us or let us know what’s the next step. I bought at $11.80 and i am panicking

NASDAQ is a failed exchange. A stock going up 700%, huge volume, and no news, but NASDAQ didn't stop trading to get clarifications from the company? What a joke.

Is this a good buy?

AAME will keep on hitting a major resistance at $5.3 for the foreseeable future... If you're feeling adventurous, you could play the range, but may want to get out each time it reaches the major resistance at $5.3 because it will most likely drop from that point...
