instead of keeping your money in AC which will literally do nothing for 2 months. you should get into stocks that are moving now with alot of momentum. Ballard power and xbc are 2 good canadian plays that are riding the hydrogen fuel cell sector. alot of eyes are on these companies now and are moving up at a nosebleed pace. especially compared to AC. which is a slow death. i'm planning on getting back into AC after i've doubled my money in hydrogen stocks prob around march timeframe. i predict AC will use hydrogen fuel in the near future to be carbon neutral !!!! i still plan on doubling my money in AC but with my stategy, i may 4 times my money !!!!

just some investing advice. this is the time to take advantage of the markets and make your money grow!!

i may sell my suncor shares too and get back in later before the run up.

Apparently Trudeau is contemplating an international travel ban now. Does anyone think this could happen in Canada? We already have tight measures.

Underwriters JPM exercised their option to buy almost 2.5 million EXTRA shares at 24$ CAD... And people think this isn't a winner LOL.

Work from home for the long term is a disaster for the economy and workers' mental health. And prove one thing, this job can be outsourced and transferred to China and India. No country will allow this to happen. Video conference is not invented in 2020, the business trip does have meaning. Air Canada is the backbone of the whole Canadian economy.

Just got some myself. Bought it in the dip at 22.99! This is going to a very easy return. Expect the stock to do well this week as high as $26 by end of the week!

Do any of you actually fly right now? I fly AC for work once a week (YYZ/YVR). Every flight is packed. I bought this stock in September when I started flying again because of how busy it is. There aren't as many flights as last year at this time, but at least 3/4 of them are. Pretty sure they're doing just fine guys.. Every time they cancel a route, it's just another notch for the government having to open up cheap financing and ac not wasting their time with a small route. Every time someone gets vaccinated, it's another person that can fly.
Try booking flights for this summer..go on their site and put in some dates and a vacation destination. The prices are sky high. People are booking flights early and every time they do, that's $ in the bank that AC has (and won't refund).

Earnings don’t need to be good! i.e. they just need to be not as bad as expected. A vaccine is being distributed well within the year Globally! Watch what happens with borders open and all the pent up travel demand!

With so many rapid test coming online, pent up demand to travel for business, family, and fun, airline stocks, and business, are bound to bounce back up. Im all in to opening up the economy, safely, and efficiently. Its 2021, if we cant make that happen id be surprised. Hopefully the opening is as rapid as the shut down. Families need to be together. You choose, P.P.E companies, airlines, rapid test outlets, there all the short term boom to come.

Very soon, Almost nobody dies for this CORVID19 due to old people get vaccinated. And then infected people will drop to close zero. Then we start to talk about recovery. Today Alberta's all long-term care got first shot. We only have 470 infected. It was 2000 infected daily at December. So things are getting better with vaccines. Can not wait for more good news

Not sure why so many people miss this point.... the stock price represents the confidence that investors have of the company recovering. It’s called an investment for a reason. Stop looking at how the company is doing now, rather think how it will be doing in 3-4 months! Canada believes to have all high riskers vaccinated by JULY. Only up from here with the usual couple of bumps.

Air Canada is giving Cargojet a run for their money. This is going to surprise everyone on the earnings report.

Interesting: very low volume day. US markets being closed I wonder if Cdn traders also took day off or a lot of US traders buying AC in Cdn $.
