Vote for these three possible outcomes:
    1) Acacia wins the court and becomes a public company,
    2) Cisco wins but raise the price to at least $86/sh, the highest price the stocks ever traded after Acacia announced the breakup,
    3) Cisco wins the court and keeps the same term, facing shareholder lawsuits.

Cisco is a +10% customer of Acacia and some of Cisco routers are designed with Acacia AC1200 transponder, no replacement. So the two will try to maintain some sort of good term going forward.

Acia should be traded between $120 to $140 as a public company. New suitor would have to cough up north of $150/sh.

1/8/21-- Acacia Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq: ACIA) today announced that it has elected to terminate its merger agreement with Cisco Systems, Inc., effective immediately. The proposed merger, announced in July 2019, was conditioned on the satisfaction or waiver of customary closing conditions, including obtaining necessary regulatory approvals within the timeframe contemplated by the merger agreement. Because approval of the Chinese government’s State Administration for Market Regulation was not received within the timeframe contemplated by the merger agreement, Acacia did not have an obligation to close the merger before the arrival of the January 8, 2021 extended end date. As such, Acacia exercised its right to terminate the proposed transaction in accordance with the terms of the merger agreement.

Cisco has informed Acacia that it may dispute Acacia’s right to have terminated the merger agreement. Acacia intends to defend any such claims.

Acacia plans to host a conference call and live audio webcast to discuss recent developments and certain preliminary unaudited financial results for its fourth fiscal quarter and fiscal year ended December 31, 2020, at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on January 11, 2021.

Acia Market Cap should be 5-6 Billion! IPHI was sold for 9 Billion to Marvel and its their closest compeitor.
3 Billion Buyout was a Joke. At 4Billion market cap the sock is $100. Their Rev has gone up significantly since 2019 and Cash position is now over $500M. Keep buying it will go alot higher...

I found it interesting ~38% of outstanding shares were traded on Friday. It would be interesting to know if it were more buyers than sellers.

"We suspect Acacia's decision to walk away may reflect several possible factors including perhaps an effort to renegotiate terms," Raymond James analyst Simon Leopold said in a report to clients.
Leopold added: "We consider the deal a victim of China trade tensions. China has little to win by approving the deal. Given the U.S. restrictions on Huawei, we suspect that ZTE, a leading Acacia customer, becomes more important for China. Allowing a material ZTE supplier to become part of a large Western global competitor makes little sense."

Made a killing on this yesterday. It was super obvious their play last Friday. Paid off a week quicker than I expected.

Sold for a profit, won’t go much further up I’m my opinion. Maybe Cisco gets a nice spike once merger is complete? I feel like they are way undervalued for a company buying other higher valued trading companies.

    It was bought very cheaply.

Forced marriage would never work. Cisco will have to raise the offer or others like Arista Networks with its stock sky high will come in. One way or the other, I see ACIA will hit 5B market cap in short order.
