  • Weekly Bollingers. If we start seeing price butt up against the upper band and they begin to separate the shorts had better watch out.Whether near term price is up or down, those of us old timers can watch the short term moves unfold with relative indifference and collect our .25/share every quarter as we await clarity on the long term picture.

'Clean Coal' Tax Credit Gets a New Bipartisan Push in Senate
A bipartisan group of senators are fired up about clean coal, hoping to expand a tax credit in hopes of spurring investment in the costly technology.

  • US wants U.N. fund to build coal plants
The U.S.will seek to use a United Nations fund designed to aid nations hard
hit by climate change to promote the construction of coal-fired power plants
around the world. The Obama administration donated $1 billion to the so called
Green Climate fund, and the U.S. can now use it's seat on the fund's board to
advance American-energy interests globally, a White House official said. President
Trump, who has announced he is withdrawing the U.S. e Paris climate accord ,
has made clear the U.S. won't be sending any more checks to the fund. But the
U.S. wants to use the board seat to encourage developing countries to build
high-efficiency plants that produce fewer green-house gas emissions than earlier
facilities and construct "clean coal" plants than employ carbon-capture technology
    to strip out even more.
  • Dividend showing up on Yahoo with a yield of 11%. Should get us increased attention with individual investors.
  • This won't move until earnings, barring news of RC deals closing
  • Looks to me like there is an inverse relationship between coal-fired power plant retirements and the value of the remaining ones in regards to their utilization rate.

  • For those into insider buying/selling, there was a director sale of stock for $46,000 last week. Looks like the first insider sale in over 3 years if what I'm looking at is accurate.

  • Anyone notice that the short positions increased another 80K shares over the last couple weeks to over 1,131,000 shares, even with the DTO and dividend in play? Based on the closing price today, ex-dividend day, there weren't too many shorts unloading their shares. I don't think it's a good sign, but I am sure Peter has a different take on it.
  • Has anyone seen a copy of the shareholders presentation? Did Sampson even make one?
  • Take a look at this AJ Gallagher investor meeting report a couple weeks ago, especially slide 15. Gallagher is the biggest investor for the competition of Tinuum's & ADAES refined coal facilities, which is a company called ChemMod. The tax credits pay off big, but for whatever reason the Tinuum team just can not get the story out. Not sure who Mylan is partnered with, but it is not Tinuum.

  • Coal mining up 19% for 1st 5 months of 2017. Would love to know what Blackrock, Collisium

  • Bart - volume is huge today. What are the money flows telling you? Plus somewhere along the line you sounded like we were going to go to $10 or maybe even $11 or $12 per share very soon. I thought with the ex-dividend date looming we wouldn't see such a sell off as we are seeing this week as the shorts would have been trying to get rid of some shares ahead of that date.
