    Autodesk Inc. said Thursday that it had reached an agreement to acquire BuildingConnected for $275 million net of cash acquired. BuildingConnected has a network of 700,000 construction professionals and helps with bid management, according to a release. Autodesk Chief Executive Andrew Anagnost said in the release that the acquisition helps further the company's goal of "making construction Autodesk's next billion-dollar business." Shares are down 4% in midday trading Thursday, and they've gained 17% so far this year. The S&P 500 has fallen 7.3% in that time.
