Takeover offer at $36, a big discount to BV. Another company invests at $37. Isn't it obvious that the company is way undervalued? I think the arbs looking for a quick buck are disappointed but in the long term rejecting the offer and getting capital injection is a good move

I have been in and out of this value stock for years. It moves with jumps, up and down. I get in when it's oversolded and get out when its overbought. Looks to be headed back to the $30s and overbought again.
d
one would think that management would take and share a position if they are leaning or not leaning to accepting $36 share buyout. I own some AEL indexed annuities and the stock and there have been no communications or press releases about it?????
B
If you are rejecting an offer based on your perceived valuation and saying your plan creates more value for shareholders as nd your stocks go down 15% it means nobody trust you. And even you create value and increase the share price to 40 by a year compared to offer of 36 now, it's not value generating, it's screwing shareholders!!
E
Why price to book is only 0,49?
U
This is $55 dollar stock. Hold on to it.
J
What a debacle. The board should be held liable for shareholder losses.
K
Pre Market $32.99,nice!
T
Great run
T
this is oversold, people are reacting to AEL averting a takeover, Brookfield is buying (not a dilution) 10% at $37 so this will bounce back up
A
better be a blow out quarterly. report. and some super guidance. maybe a proxy fight for nnew BOD and CEO.
S
Ghost board
B
How is it that shareholders don't have any say in any of this????
E
I have been searching for some undervalued stocks which pay dividends. Am thinking about this one. Seems very undervalued and alot of potential for growth. I was wondering why it is so undervalued
a

I hope you are not greedy and took some profit today because I’m going on vacation babyyyyyy. Christmas paid for. Don’t let greed get the bet of you and walk out
B
If no dilution, do they buy back to give BAM their 20% at $37?
C
Book Value per share $55 Trading at 26.95 Screaming buy long term
A
i have a great idea. instead of selling all the company lets sell 20% then take the money and invest it in residential debt that will never be paid back. screw the shareholders i have a bonus to get and free shares to get. AEL2.0= losses, losses, and more losses
E
High inflation will be very positive for AEL. Long term obligations will be inflated away.
