Deutsche Bank has filed their 13F. They've been pretty bearish lately, but apparently there are a select few stocks that they like. They had only a few thousand shares of C3 on March 31, then they came in during Q2 and bought 47,000 shares. Once a big investor like this starts to build a position, they will often add to it each quarter. Deutsche Bank has contacts with all the major companies in Europe. They're probably hearing about sales by C3 to European firms.

The Nasdaq was up 361 points, or 2.9%, to 12854 today, bringing an end to the bear market (a decline of 20% from a recent high). The Nasdaq is now up 20% or more from a recent low, meaning a new bull market is now underway for tech stocks.

C3 will be reporting its May-June-July quarter in about 3 weeks. Based on public comments made by Tom Siebel, I expect results to come in well above the guidance that was given in the last earnings call. The market is in an uptrend, and C3 is poised to move significantly higher once they report their quarter. Economic growth has been weak, slightly negative in the two most recent quarters, and investors are going to be looking for companies like C3 that can grow even when economic growth is weak.

Anyone ever notice that the only people to ever respond to the Iceman's posts are himself and Chief Weewee and on occasion Petey Pete? Of course who needs to respond, he has ten other personalities to talk with.

The Swiss National Bank has filed their 13F. During April-May-June, they added 84,000 shares, and they owned a total of 180,000 shares as of June 30. C3 does a lot of business in Europe, so far mostly energy companies and utilities. C3 is hiring in Europe, and we will continue to see new customers there.

Nvidia is one of C3's partners, Nvidia CEO J. Huang and Tom Siebel are old friends. Nvidia is out with its quarterly results this morning, which were disappointing in the gaming sector. However, Morningstar is recommending the stock to long term investors this morning, saying that the long term outlook remains positive, and that artificial intelligence business at Nvidia is "poised to remain elevated". So this is a positive indicator for C3.

PLTR earnings miss it looks like. Would love to see C3 knock it out of the park this quarter and create even further separation as the true leader in this sector.

The pension fund of the State of New Jersey has filed their 13F. They did not own any shares on March 31, then they came in as a new investor during April-May-June, and bought 125,000 shares. People that are investing pension fund money do a lot of due diligence, so I always like to see these investors coming into a stock. Clearly New Jersey thinks that the time is now for this stock.

The Pentagon’s Defense Contract Management Agency is out with a report on the F-35 fighter jet that says that there are too many defects in production of the plane. These defects are “an issue to the user community and a major concern negatively impacting the F-35 fleet”.

This is a very complex weapons system and I think there are plenty of opportunities for C3 to come in and make improvements with its artificial intelligence technology. As discussed at the Baird investment conference a couple of months ago, average availability of planes for the US Air Force has been about 50%. Using C3 technology they have been able to raise that by 10, 20, 30%.

It shows that C3 is not connected to PLTR at all. Hence why we won the award for best AI/ML out of 15 companies I believe.

Risk trade looks to be back on. Market seems to have the "buy the dip" mentality again. I enjoy this market more and opens the door for good trading too.

Various media outlets are reporting today that Palantir is in the process of hiring a lot more people. This has some negative implications for C3 since the two companies both compete for defense business, and Palantir may be getting more of the business. However, overall, I think this is a positive indication for C3. C3 and Palantir are both hiring a lot of people and this is an indication of strength in demand for their products. If anything, it looks to me like C3 is ramping up its sales in the defense space pretty rapidly. Last December, C3 announced that former National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster was joining the C3 Advisory Board. In June C3 announced that retired U.S. Air Force General John E. Hyten had been added to its advisory board. General Hyten recently retired after serving as the 11th Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (the nation's second highest ranking military officer) from 2019 to 2021. And in April C3 announced that Major General Martin F. Klein, USAR (TPU) had joined its executive team to oversee the company’s defense and intelligence operations. General Klein most recently served as the Chief Operating Officer of the Department of Defense’s Joint Artificial Intelligence Center (JAIC). So with the people C3 now has on board they should be ramping up sales in the defense space pretty rapidly.

Indy - you are so right on the DCA. I picked up a few at $40, but then got more aggressive below $20 and picked up about 50% at $14 or below. So DCA is now just over $18 and I expect $38 within a year - That'll be a cool $200K. I might add after earning - will have to see the report and conference call.

Stock Crumbs- There is only one other person besides you, that falsifies quotes by other poster. For the record I have dollar cost averaged myself (in mutual funds , for decades) and do not think DCA is a "mistake". I question your expertise and definition of DCA. Buying more and more shares of a stock that has been "broken" (downward for a year) and is not profitable; is NOT-DCA. It is a leap of faith, and poor stock management. C3.ai may, turn out to be a good investment. It is not something any talented money manager would "load up" on. That's not how real money is made. It is the kind of attitude that the rube at the Carny has, when he pays to knock over the milk bottles, to win a plush toy.

Interesting that Raymond brings up the fact that Deutsche Bank is increasing their position in the stock meanwhile their analyst continues to trash the stock, wonder why the bank would go against their own analyst's opinion? Maybe because that was the plan all along.

If Siebel can blow away earnings this quarter, we could see a major turnaround in the stock. Getting back to IPO prices can happen rapidly. Then all you smart people who dollar cost averaged will probably be up nicely. Would love to see the good souls here make huge gains. I also think we will see the short interest continue to decline. As you can see, Motley and investor place haven't written about this stock in a long time. It seems to follow the decline in shorts too.
