This rating action follows Moody's recent decision to downgrade Turkey's government bond rating to B1 from Ba3.     Moody's Investors Service announced today that the issuance of the covered bond series 2019-1 on 15 March 2019 would not, in and of itself and as of this time, result in the downgrade or withdrawal of the current Ba1 ratings assigned to the three series 2015-1, 2017-1 and 2017-3 of covered bonds issued by Akbank T.A.S. (the Issuer) under its covered bond programme. The series 2019-1 and the outstanding rated covered bonds have similar terms.
