I'm not sure what to think about this sale. Yes I am a long time shareholder from back when it was $10 a share. Lots of changes and promises since the fall. I would hope we could get at least $5.

I’m all in. I bought CHTR @$19 , 20 years ago, Q-Qwest at $18 years ago, & have been a pro trader for 20 years. This float is held very tightly, with Sales vs mkt cap @ less then 1x on quick ratio, Largest shareholders hiking stakes this week, & Alaska being the last frontier in many ways for mkt expansion growth in US, this is likely a Takeover candidate, w no real mkt risk of a pullback since thin float, tightly held. Most of all volume huge today/ lately as the stock triggered a technical breakout today. Should be a 3.5-4 stock by late summer( if not acquired sooner)

I am a long time stockholder and I am glad that a major holding is defending the small stockholders against crookers that control ALSK. Maybe we will finally get something out of this.

Tom, I’m there with you, they’re getting it for below book, just when they started growing cash and paying off debt. Even received a dividend. The board has 30 days to shop around for another bid, we will see what happens !

ALSK is a good example of what has happened to the old copper telco plant. Strong Union keeps labor rates high, as if there were no competition. GCI and ALSK can never merge because of Anti-trust issues, both need to expand to grow, the Pacific Northwest is favored by both. ALSK's CEO lives in Seattle last I heard, so it's natural to expand there. Key issue is that ALSK no longer owns wireless spectrum, which has driven considerable growth elsewhere. Just seems the CATV Broadband is far better than Telco DSL or Fiber. At this price, I'm sure someone will consider buying it, but it definitely needs a banker making it happen.... good luck to all...

Interesting statement by the CEO...."scale and diversification are an overhang on our stock price. I will reiterate my conviction that we need to be part of a larger platform. I cannot sit here and say what form that will take or when something will happen, neither can I sit here and speculate on hypotheticals." Larger platform? Buyout?

Management needs to reveal the price of the third party bidder. Failing to do so results in speculation. That's why the price shot way up above the revised firm offer of 3.20. They are creating short sell opportunities at those high end prices and not doing their fiduciary duty.

contrary to Buffett, I have been loading up a lot of airline stocks since the moment I read the some heavily traveled nation planned on June inbound restriction waiver and I rushed to plan my own travel.
