Aptiv announced several actions on Monday to absorb the financial blow of the coronavirus pandemic, including drawing down all remaining amounts, approximately $1.4 billion, on its revolving credit facility. With the additional funds, the company will have cash on hand of approximately $1.7 billion and $2 billion outstanding under the existing revolver facility. Aptiv's board of directors also voted to suspend the company's dividend of approximately $225 million annually. Additionally, the company has ramped down certain production facilities. Aptiv have declined 40% in the last year. The broader S&P 500 index is down 20% in the last year.

Mobility technology company Aptiv has reported its fourth-quarter financial results, which expectedly were mired by General Motors' labor strike by the United Automobile Workers (UAW). This situation, which played out in October, led to considerable losses for Aptiv as it is a vital parts supplier to GM and holds a significant stake in the automaker's autonomous vehicle program. Aptiv's U.S. revenue (as per generally accepted accounting principles) for Q4 2019 stood at $3.6 billion, a decrease of 1% year-over-year.
