Shares of home-security-camera company Arlo Technologies Inc. are down 19% in Wednesday trading after the company reported better-than-expected results for its second quarter but delivered a disappointing outlook for the third quarter. As the company maintained its full-year view, Raymond James analyst Adam Tindle wrote that the company's forecast implies a "Q4 climb that mirrors the very successful 2016 Arlo Pro launch from a [quarter-over-quarter] basis, and while two core product launches may help explain this, we hesitate to get more positive until we have a better feel for reception of these products." He sees a "steeper climb ahead" for Arlo as the company must show growth in its services business. "Services revenue actually decreased q/q this quarter," Tindle wrote. He has a market perform rating on the stock, which has plunged 70% so far this year as the S&P 500 has risen 13%.

After experiencing Hurricane Sandy nothing would shock me, but this still seemed odd. Seems that the police department in question failed to note that the warning they'd received and repackaged was labeled by the National Tsunami Warning Center as "for test purposes only". released first quarter earnings, meeting bottom line earnings estimates of 40 cents, and beating top line estimates by $40 million, only to get a 10% haircut in early trading.
