A lot of talk about maximizing stakeholder value and ESG. Shareholder value never mentioned. Woke companies will go broke

Still over book value here. No reason to rush in. There is no mention of an Infrastructure Bill on Capital Hill yet.

Back to five year lows - might as well just sell the business.

Pleasantly surprised the stock up so much after the earnings report. Many writedowns in quarter, slow moving inventory, mobile machinery, Germany operations, pellet business,

Company is forecasting mid 20% margins again this year. I believe that was the same goal last year. Not sure why CEO left.

The ever allusive mid-20s margins. "align production with demand" wall street phrase for layoffs and plant closings. Overall sales of $256M were pretty good in a tough environment.

Any one have any constructive perspective on this drop from 60 to 46? $150M sharebuyback and 10% increase in dividend haven't helped - yet.

Astec's former CEO and probably one of it's largest shareholders is now a competitor. I hope this gets discussed/questioned on the earnings call.

Another disappointing quarter and with backlog down almost 50%, a really good chance 2Q will be down big. I guess last year the weather wasn't wet and icy (must be global warming in reverse). New excuse, different year. Will be interesting what the analysts do with their forecast.

I think ASTE figured out how to get buying interest in their stock. Miss estimates, report a big drop in backlog, stop providing guidance and cut factories and employees.

    Still really struggling.

When the CEO, CFO and other executives are all "pursuing other interests", shouldn't be surprised that the new execs find (disclose) problems. Inventory writedowns; Material weakness in its internal controls. Hopefully, the stock won't get hit too hard.
