    EDGAR Filing Documents for 0001033427-17-000048
  • ATI is up 5.08% to 17.15
  • ATI is up 4.92% to 16.62
  • Where's the share volume, @ 11.45 it was about 592K shares.
    Looks staged.
  • I would be happy with a dead cat bounce but I'm afraid this cat died a long time ago.
  • Mergers, joint ventures, and other business combinations have been occurring everywhere. Someone needs to tell the leaders of the steel industry.
  • Grossly overvalued from Free Cash Flow point of view.....when will its FCF ever turn POSITIVE??????
  • Enough of the down! Oil price goes up, Dollar goes down. ATI should have a reversal! Which ETF is doing this? Unbelievable.
  • In the USSteel conference call, an analyst asked if merging or acquiring ATI Technologies would make sense. USS management that will spend over $1 billion on 100 projects over the next 3-4 years didn't think so. Go figure.
  • The workforce is a HUGE difference
  • ATI is grossly overvalued...........So are NFLX and AMZN..............
  • They didn't include the 19 million convertible shares in the EPS calculation when they were losing money saying it was dilutive. Now they make a little money and they still don't use the convertible shares in the EPS calculation.
  • Positive results from technical analysis. The buy rating at 9trading is set to 6. Target: 25.18.
  • typical ATI. Can't hold a gain
  • Could be green at end of day.
  • So it sounds like the misdirection this quarter is going to be towards 3-D parts.
What are the barriers to entry for 3-d parts? Sounds like ATI will be losing the finished part to supply the powder that makes the wire that makes the part.
With capital/cash so tight, where are the resources for the significant capital investment going to come from.
It is interesting when fluff piece articles mention how much the sales percentage of a segment have "grown," when it's the rapid contraction of the steel segment that is the major cause of the percentage increase.
Hello steel segment, you're now "noncore."
  • Over reaction from x steel
  • So it sounds like there are repercussions to the ATI large salary layoff that was driven to reduce pension/retirement benefit liabilities.
Management may try to sell a "refocused" strategy, but how many years has this "realignment" been going on?
They sold the profitable tungsten division and said that they would then be able to focus energies on the remaining business.
There doesn't seem to be a strategy behind all of this, it's just reactionary. One of the only groups benefiting from all of this are the investment banks, who broker the deals, float the bonds, sell the stock.
