Challenges in the FRP unit pose some headwinds for Allegheny (ATI) in the second quarter.
Allegheny Technologies Inc. has formed a joint venture with GE Aviation to develop meltless titanium alloy powder manufacturing technology to be used in 3-D printing and other additive manufacturing applications. The joint venture will construct a new R&D pilot production facility, ATI (ATI) said in a release. “We are pleased to join with GE Aviation to create this innovative next-generation technology joint venture,” Rich Harshman, ATI chairman, president and CEO, said in a prepared statement.
