It operates approximately 81 surface water treatment plants; 530 groundwater treatment plants; 10 combined treatment plants; 130 wastewater treatment plants; 51,000 miles of transmission, distribution, and collection mains and pipes; 1,000 groundwater wells; 1,400 water and wastewater pumping stations; 1,300 treated water storage facilities; and 80 dams. The company serves approximately 14 million people with drinking water, wastewater, and other water-related services in 46 states in the United States and Ontario, Canada. The company was founded in 1886 and is headquartered in Camden, New Jersey.
