New York-based credit analyst firm Moody’s Investors Service Inc. pointed out in a report last week that while "it is not fully clear from the disclosures thus far” what exactly the feds are investigating, Moody’s suspects that it is a possible violation of the False Claims Act. Booz Allen generated about $5.8 billion in its most recent fiscal year, with its largest contact comprising about $160 million of that, Moody’s observed. As one of the more notable examples, Moody’s cited a 2009 settlement by Falls Church-based Northrop Grumman Corp. (NOC) with the National Reconnaissance Office that totaled $325 million.
News of a DOJ investigation will do that.
Booz Allen Hamilton Inc. CEO Horacio Rozanski saw his compensation package drop 15 percent in the company’s most recent fiscal year. The company hadn’t really suffered blowback from investors following the Martin incident.
