    Two points:
    1. Even if the Fed raises rates 4 times in 2022, we are still at historically very low rates and definitely not at a level that is an obstacle to business.
    2. You know that Brookfield’s thinking and strategy was all over the changes in the economy and Fed thinking and were/are 5 steps ahead of everyone else in how they are positioned and deals they have done over the last few years. Believe me, they aren’t surprised and they have it all baked into their deals.

I actually can’t believe this is close to hitting my buy in price of $39 CAD. I’m already too overweight renewable energy or I would add more. Focusing on REITs now.

Holding 15.8% of my portfolio in renewable energy (BEPC and HCLN, combined). Here’s hoping this pays off in 15-20 years. GLTA.

Just added at $43.36 CAD. Thanks for the cheap shares. Happy to lock in a solid dividend yield too!

“What is U.S. electricity generation by energy source?

In 2020, about 4,007 billion kilowatthours (kWh) (or about 4.01 trillion kWh) of electricity were generated at utility-scale electricity generation facilities in the United States.1 About 61% of this electricity generation was from fossil fuels—coal, natural gas, petroleum, and other gases. About 20% was from nuclear energy, and about 20% was from renewable energy sources.”

10 year Tbill rate touched 1.8% today. BEPC dog down 8% in 5 days! Why am I not surprised?

If the Fed raise rates on an accelerated schedule which would be 4 times this year, which is very probable, BEPC will be in mid twenties by June.

Added more today. Love the paper hands and cheap prices! Just think where this will be in 10 years as long as Brookfield doesn't take it private!

Final day for tax loss selling.

The bag holders dreaming about profits 10 years in future are going to get burned as interest rates rise. The market will heavily discount future cash flows based on the higher rates. That’s a big factor in the recent further weakness in this pig.
But you’ll keep drinking the Koolaid on this overhyped green revolution stock of the future. 🤓

So it appears JP Morgan did actually initiate a position back in March at or around $41.00 US. Seven to eight months later they sold 3% of the original purchase. The next move is to upgrade the stock to overweight. Did they announce the upgrade hoping they could dump more at a desirable price? Didn't JP Morgan see this coming? I think Tommy may have a point. Aren't normal utilities compensated for inflation costs by their customers? These are long term contracts at least in regard to the wind power. Is BEPC stuck at yesterday's prices without new revenue?

BEP has authorized the purchase of their shares if they deem them undervalued starting 12/16.
    This could provide some support.

Added today at $41.75 CAD. I’m balls deep in this stock. Fortunate to only be down 7.5% unlike some who bought at ATH. That part was lucky. Come back in 5-10 years and see if these solid assets are even public!
