Whatever happens in a crazy world, we all gotta eat. Am long BG, ADM, MOS. I’m sure there’s other ways to play it. I almost hope I’m wrong about food supply shortages.

I own both bunge and Archard Daniels Midland. Just wondering if there are a lot of other people like me?

@Doug Did not throw BG with the baby or bath water. Did throw out ESI and bought more ADM and VALE. Good luck BG longs! Long CF and NTR as well. Short America!

Great earnings… markets up… and this is down? Don’t make sense.

Soybeans are already in short supply. I’m feeling very optimistic about this stock.

New BGer here. I bought this morning after reading news that Indonesia had banned exports of palm oil, that together with the huge reduction in sunflower and other cooking oils coming out of Ukraine. Best to all.

Outstanding earnings.

Looks great @Sandy! I typed a lengthy post with details on other Ag names and it has already been taken down. Let me see if I can get this by the message board police. I am holding BG long and thinking about raising some cash on ADM and NTR. CF is long without question for me. Thanks for all your help.

So many swirling cross-currents right now. Could be a volatile week. ("Thank you, Captain Obvious") In other news, soybean prices spiking higher after Indonesia bows to internal political pressure and closes its doors to palm oil exports. Not only BG, but thinking alternative plant based techs could benefit, including little spec play, BRCN. Strap in and pass the popcorn.

After the ER at the end of April, I think BG moves to $150 pretty quick.

a
buying opportunity?

Helpful hint: Remember to check your bathwater for babies before dumping it out.
K
can it double from here?

Is this party over already? I don't think so but ADM is taking a hit as well and both fertilizer names I own are getting hit today. Those would be CF and NTR. Of course, all of the above have been hitting new highs daily or weekly for the entire month. So all are do for a breather. I would be interested in what @Sandy thinks?

John Neppl in response to a question from GS: "Yes. I think we'd be pretty comfortable to say that we've got north of $2 billion of capacity today. And certainly, for the right opportunity, we'd be willing to stretch that in the near term, in the short term. We do feel like we're in a very strong position today with all of our metrics. And our leverage ratio is low, as low as it's been in a very, very long time. And I think we -- probably as importantly, I think we've got the people and the processes in place to manage some pretty significant opportunities."
Am long BG, ADM, MOS. I’m sure there’s other ways to play it.
