Any idea why the big dip over last few trading days? profit taking or due to dividend payout?

Once the short positions cover, it's back to business as usual. Can't wait for the next earning report or any news on BGFV could send this stock up at least $1.00 +++. How about Christmas sales with sporting goods stores...yessss.

So HIBB did $331 million in sales for the quarter. They earned 1.45 a share and their stock is trading 45.00. BGFV did $305 million in sales and earned 1.31 and their stock is trading 9.70. What is wrong with this picture?

Who said they were buyers at 9.58 ish. Step up and buy! I did. Back to the $10.50 ish. with in a few days.

If BGFV closes above or takes out the $10.59 level we should see $11.48 quickly to $13.43. Sporting goods sales are in play and ammo sales are explolding higher. Try OLN to play the retail ammo play. They bought remington and winchester, I believe.

Got in at $1:89. When it tripled I sold half on the way down and took my original investment back out. Seriously wishing I’d left it there. Apart from Tesla it’s my biggest winner this year.

ASO - Acadmy is up today. So will BGFV. Guns are sold out and anmo is sold before it hits the shelves. California is rebuilding after the fires. Sporting goods is an uptrend sector. Have faith in BGFV long term get paid the dividend while you wait. Remember... the short positions will need to cover today or face paying our dividend.

Where are the chart analysts...what do we have to get to for this thing to make a big run?

Lets see if the trend sell before 10am and buy after 2pm is followed today. I think maybe not because of the break in trend starting today resistance seen at a few level to $15. Charts indicate, BGFV is going to $15 for sure around the holidays but time will tell. Buy the dips and you will have a very merry Christmas.

This is becoming a very predictable run up to a fair price. Higher highs. Higher lows. Profit taking scattered in between. I'll continue to hold.
    Bullish

Nope, trend didn't hold. Back to same sell in the AM and buy in the PM. These shoties and weak hands are relentless. Looks like were going back to the $9.58 ish support then bounce after the real investors jump back in.

June just deleted the whole thread, but hope you investors know that “they” admitted company is paying overseas shills to pump the stock..what are the ethics of that? And why should they have to with such apparent rock-solid fundamentals? Sad!

Broke $10 on it's way to $15 before dividend date. Shorts pay the dividend. Yes......

Short positions should cover by the close today. I understand the brief drop in share price today is because of the ex-dividend date today and it is the last day to get in for the dividend. A .40 cent drop would be expected but anything over that is oversold. BGFV long term chart is intact and on an upward trent line.

I'm a chartist to answer your questions. See my posts for the past month (Long Term). Shorts have already started to cover. This sector is hot with all sporting good companies going higher, and ASO going public and Christmas around the corner. BGFV to follow where the stock was at $15 then $20. Dividend is around the corner and get paid while you wait. Call options are high and bullish trend continues. It broke $9.5 so the shorts started to cover then shorted again at the high of the day. Today my sell stop hit at $10.20 and then my buy buy signal bought back at $9.70. Should continue nicely to $15 with some resistance at different levels. Long term.... buy the dips, Christmas is coming and get paid while you wait. It's not where the stock is now...it's where it's going.

Ouch!!! Cindy's short is down over 50% in less than a month. Good job - not! I have lightened up on some shares now that we are in the double digits because this grew into a huge part of my portfolio. I still hold plenty of shares. In fact, in one account I still have some shares purchased under a buck. I was excited to see them become a 10 bagger (10X) but it is quite possible that I may see them become a 20 bagger. Great to see that management had the skill and fortitude to navigate through this.
