Valueline has a pretty good write up on B&G foods. Says long term good outlook for capital appreciation and good yield.

This stock has larger moves than most. Low volume yet the price drops like there has been some sort of negative news about revenue or earnings, etc. Zacks should have virtually no effect on the stock price in my opinion so when they say "sell" it should not cause a significant run on sales of the stock.

There are no institutional or investment fund sales that I am aware of so it must be retail holders getting cold feet. If brokers are somehow involved in this price action I would like to know how to confirm that.

I don't see evidence of a new short sale attack.

I got in today for 300 shares at $30.00 . Its spring, you can't barbecue without seasonings, pickles and beans!
B&G has a shopping cart filled with great products, happy to own a good American Company.

To help contribute to the bottom line of BGS, I went grocery shopping today and purchased 1 can of B&M baked beans.

This may drop to mid to upper 20's, but will still give decent dividends and slowly creep back into the 30's. I'm averaged just under 30. I'll buy some when it gets to 28ish and continue to take dividends long term. Not a bad stable stock really. People always need to eat.

6% dividends are rare. Re assurance even more. The share buyback money sounds great in theory. Some confirmation going forward is necessary. If that divy sticks maybe grease it?

Locks like Zacks is trying to do a number on BGS. For the past three days, they have had three negative articles on BGS, the most recent one places a Sell recommendation. I suspect this plus the ex dividend day on 3/30 are placing negative pressure on the stock. My philosophy with Zacks is to do the opposite nearly all of the time.

Time to get back in after selling the spike at 44 in January. Buy low, sell high.

Bought today for my dividend portfolio. No reason for the sell off but I will take these cheap shares.

The stock rises as it gets closer to get in on the dividend payout for those holding as of 3/31. Then it drops the day/day after. Will we see this stock creep back up until the day of the payout 4/30? Then it’s supposed to drop a little due to the payout, correct?

Just showing a little drop after Excluding Dividend Date of March 30! Very common after x Dividend date since folks grab the Three months of dividend and move on trying to beat the system. Crisco buy out at bargain price will be great for BGS!

I am thinking about buying some shares. They have a wide product line and established in 1822. I see it is heavily shorted so I will wait for a dip then buy and hold long term because they also have a nice dividend.

Maybe the company will take this a stock buyback day. They are authorized to buy back shares.

Bought when it was down in the single digits years and years ago and held on thru thick and thin. It results in 19% dividend not bad right.

The barbecue play makes more sense than ever. This company needs two new marketing departments one for their products and second for their stock. Suggestion - co market spice lines, with frozen vegetables. Green Giant packaging boring. Love the stock fix the package.
