Industry leaders like #NEM & #BHP way ahead in climate change damage control....#BHP now running one of World's largest desalination plants in S. America....who'd of thought this just 10 years ago?....buy quality and DEEP reserves miners.

How is the dividend of this company taxed? Just wondering if they withhold a foreign tax for US shareholders.

Are there K-1 tax forms for holding BBL shares? Looking to invest as a play on metal commodities.

Thanks in advance for any and all responses.

    $LAC conversation
Lithium is hot and required by TSLA to meet their growth projections. Interesting to note that TSLA could spend less than 3% of its total market cap to purchase more than 50% of the domestic Lithium supplies at a nice premium to the Lithium shareholders. With that in mind I don’t understand how they won’t do precisely that. Nickel would cost quite a bit more. $LAC, $LTHM, $BHP

@MT on copper....Agua Rica mine....I owned this untouched mine with Northern Orion, which was bought by Yamana years and years ago. One of biggest untapped known copper deposits. Also. look at #BHP, or same thing #BBL (if U.S. investor)....#VALE too, but they have legal issues with multiple Brazilian dam failures....bhp, involved in one joint venture with vale, so bit of exposure too.....do your due diligence.

To poster @Michael - see #cnbc# story about dollar depreciation (devaluation really) from analyst at Standard Chartered Bank. If you're young you need to be in stocks that protect you from what will certainly be a US dollar devaluation....that would be overseas stocks or even base mining companies like #BHP i mentioned. The debts and deficits will absolutely destroy your generation's living standard unless you invest in the right investments. I'd suggest doing some due diligence on that front...start with that article I mentioned above. All my kids and grandkids are protected.....retail stocks good for a trade, but think actual real estate for yourself, farmland or for R/E for income, then other hard assets, not soft goods....good luck!

@Julian....if you're not US Taxpayer...buy #BHP (only on Stimulus hopes)....if you pay US taxes, buy #BBL....again...only on Stimulus hopes or news. #BHP is a generational buy, unlike penny miner First Majestic, which is only a trade....NEVER a buy and hold. gl....more questions, just ask in new post....sometimes I miss questions as they're buried by pumpers.

I'd be buyer of #AUY, #NEM, #WPM, #RGLD, #RIO, #BHP way before this financial scam disguising as a miner.....but, I'd wait for the "No Deal on Stimulus" news before buying anything...prices going to get cheaper. #AUY reports Oct 22, btw....so Stimulus bad news may not help it out. Big unknown, but they'll have bang up quarter.

Next wave of global recovery could send commodity prices soaring...#cnbc....front page. Mentions silver in last sentence, but this is why I mentioned #BHP couple weeks ago....they're also the company that froze executive pay.

I understand historically that the decline in this stock is based on slowing economies, but this time we are devaluing currencies around the world so the value of BHP assets become much more valuable in fiat currency terms. When will the investing community wake up to this?

As a US investor with money in an IRA, why would you own BHP over BBL?
