BMA 52 week high was little over $77 hit in August. Then a week after hitting its 52 weeks high..."Banco Macro, Grupo Financiero Galicia, and Grupo Supervielle are falling sharply on primary election results." (Nothing to do with the BMA performance?). Now look at BMA just released Q3 earnings. EPS Suprise by 74.6%, Earnings growth up 153.9% with revenue growth of 25%. IMO, BMA very undervalued and way oversold. I read Moody's downgrades of BMA back in September based on "local current economics"? Then October 23rd "Moody's WITHDRAWS BMA ratings following the merger with Banco Macro S.A." Could or should NEW upgrades be coming for BMA with a 75% consensus estimate surprise beat? Am I missing something, Thoughts?

I'd been tracking GGAL(owning) and BMA; thinking either to add more GGAL or to buy into BMA, attractive 16.2% dividend. Any ideas or comment on these 2? TIA

It is the stock with the highest growth in the Argentine financial system. The largest and with best results. It is lagging behind its competitors. In the short term it can be indecipherable, but in the medium term it will be a winner

IMF renegotiation talks start this week, cannot imagine the new IMF chief in seeing what has happened in Turkey will have any choice but to renegotiate. Still iffy because it is the IMF and there is a whole Wolfgang Schauble strain of thinking there but cannot se the austerity advocates holding any real sway based on current macro and recent history.

The AR implemented a 30% tax for changing Pesos to Dollars. So that will be a 30% hit on dividends

I assume they may trim the dividends , plus the extra fee to pay for converting peso to dollars ... i assume dividends may become in effect one third

If Macri losses, the likely scenario is default + capital control. With capital control, ARS will appreciate and BMA’s US$ profile will jump up and share price will rise. Excessive demand for US$ by Argentines will not allow any policy to succeed. I hold 1k unit LONG!

Argentinean peso has dropped in half since April....Even if IMF releases the $50B loan early this economy is toast...I would not invest in Argentina at this time...
